Key Responsibilities
Day-to-day tasks will involve the following:
- Clear and collect brush and debris from fields, pens and other work areas
- Clear fields of wood and stones
- Disinfect pens, barns or poultry houses
- Handling animals
- Monitor the calving process
- Monitoring animal health
- Perform livestock feeding
- Supervise milking operations to ensure work is done correctly
- Harvest crops
- Feed and tend animals
- Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment
- Provide agricultural crop services such as ploughing, irrigating, cultivating, spraying or harvesting
- Ensure farm safety and biosecurity procedures are followed
- Maintain quality control and production records
- Clean stables, barns, barnyards and pens
- Perform general farm duties
