Key Responsibilities
Working as a Painter, you will be responsible for the following:
Surface Preparation & Painting
Surface Preparation: Prepare, clean, and sand surfaces before painting to ensure a smooth finish.
Surface Repairs: Repair cracks and holes before applying paint or finishing materials.
Paint Mixing: Mix paint to the required colour, texture, and consistency.
Painting & Finishing: Apply paint, wallpaper, and other finishing materials to interior and exterior surfaces.
Wallpaper Installation: Measure, cut, and install wallpaper and other decorative wall coverings.
Project & Workplace Support
Customer Assistance: Advise customers on suitable colours and wall-covering options.
Scaffolding Setup: Erect scaffolding, swing stages, and attach rigging safely when required.
Material Estimation: Estimate the quantity of paint, wallpaper, and other materials required for projects.
Equipment Handling: Use painting equipment such as brushes and rollers effectively.
Safety & Cleanliness: Follow workplace safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area.
Shift Requirements
Painters may be required to work

Education
Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
Experience
1 month to less than 7 months of relevant painting experience.
Skills
