Key Responsibilities of a Pressure Vessel Welder
As a Pressure Vessel Welder, you will fabricate and repair metal components to meet strict industry standards. Daily tasks include:
- Interpreting welding process specifications, blueprints, and technical drawings.
- Operating manual, semi-automatic, or fully automated welding equipment.
- Examining welds to ensure they meet standards and specifications.
- Determining weldability of materials and preparing workpieces.
- Operating hoisting and lifting equipment safely.

Job Requirements for the Pressure Vessel Welder Role
Experience & Skills
- Minimum 1–2 years of welding experience, preferably in pressure vessels or industrial fabrication.
- Knowledge of GTAW (TIG) and GMAW welding techniques.
- Experience with stainless steel fabrication is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Certifications
- Right to work in Canada.
- Welding certification or trade qualification preferred.
Additional Requirements
- Physically capable of handling heavy loads (over 45 kg / 100 lbs).
- Efficient interpersonal and communication skills.
