Job Requirements for Heavy Truck Driver
To succeed in this role, you’ll need the following qualifications and attributes:
Experience:
- 2–3 years of experience in truck driving, preferably with dump trucks or similar heavy vehicles
Education:
- Secondary school graduation certificate (Required)
Licences:
- Valid Class 1/1F/A or Class 3/3F/DF driver’s licence
- Air Brake (Z) Endorsement
- Clean driving abstract and current licence verification required
Skills & Capabilities:
- Strong knowledge of Manitoba’s road safety regulations
- Ability to complete trip logs, inspection reports, and incident documentation
- Physically fit and comfortable with repetitive tasks and sitting for long periods
