Key Responsibilities

As a Class 1 Truck Driver, you will:

  • Operate and drive tractor-trailers for long-haul deliveries
  • Transport goods across provincial routes
  • Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections
  • Ensure cargo is properly secured
  • Maintain accurate logbooks and delivery records
  • Communicate with dispatch regarding routes and schedules
  • Load and unload goods when required
  • Follow all safety and traffic regulations

Driving Experience Required

Experience with the following is highly valued:

  • Long-haul transportation
  • Flatbed and dry van trailers
  • Refrigerated trailers (reefer)

  • Freight documentation and logbooks

Experience with electronic logging devices (ELDs) is considered an asset.

Qualifications

In order to qualify for the job you will require at least the following qualifications:

Education

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
OR equivalent experience

Experience

1 year to less than 2 years of commercial driving experience

Work Environment

  • On the road and customer delivery locations
  • Tight delivery schedules
  • Physically demanding tasks
  • Extended periods of sitting and driving
  • On-site work only (no remote option)

Physical Requirements

You must be able to:

  • Lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
  • Sit for extended periods
  • Perform repetitive tasks
  • Handle freight securely
  • Maintain strong attention to detail

Security & Transportation

  • Criminal record check required
  • Valid Class 1 Driver’s Licence required
  • Clean driving abstract required
  • Valid passport (for cross-border routes, if applicable)
