Job Requirements for Water Sports Instructor
To succeed in this role, you’ll need a strong background in multi-discipline water sports and a dedication to guest satisfaction. Key qualifications include:
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a hotel/resort or commercial water sports center
- Prior experience with formal training delivery in sailing, windsurfing, SUP, or kayaking
Education & Certification:
- Instructor-level certification for dinghies/catamarans from an accredited international or national federation
- Additional certifications in one or more of the following:
- Windsurfing
- Kayaking
- Stand Up Paddleboarding
- Valid First Aid certification (including CPR, hypothermia treatment)
- Valid Powerboat Operator’s License with rescue training
- VHF Radio Operator’s License
Skills & Attributes:
- Fluent in English (Arabic is a plus)
- High level of physical fitness and safety awareness
- Strong interpersonal skills and an energetic, customer-focused approach
- Comfortable working in diverse cultural environments
- Knowledge of hotel/resort guest service expectations
- Can-do attitude and a passion for marine adventure!

Key Responsibilities
As a Water Sports Instructor with Red Sea Global, your key duties include:
- Delivering safe, enjoyable water sports activities to guests
- Maintaining equipment and ensuring cleanliness and operational readiness
- Promoting the full range of water sports experiences available
- Educating guests and encouraging continued learning and participation
- Following international safety standards and site-specific SOPs
- Engaging with hotel partners and the wider Red Sea Project operations team
- Serving as a destination ambassador and a positive role model for visitors
