Key Responsibilities

Working as a truck driver at Aster Transport, you will be responsible for:

• Operating and driving straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
• Loading and unloading cargo safely
• Planning routes and arranging travel itineraries
• Obtaining permits and documentation for international transport routes
• Performing pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections
• Monitoring vehicle condition (tires, brakes, lights, refrigeration units, etc.)
• Performing brake adjustments and preventive maintenance
• Recording cargo details, fuel usage, distance traveled, and hours of service
• Communicating with dispatch and relaying important updates
• Ensuring all documentation such as inspection reports is completed accurately

Qualifications

To qualify for this job, you will need the following:
